(2,032 posts)...even if this were true (of course it's not), what possible difference would it make. As if MSNBC has significant political influence. Second, the image is reminiscent of the German response to their loss in WWI...the infamous stab in the back. Having been deceived by the Kaiser throughout the war (sound familiar), the German people believed their army was undefeated on the battlefield...that their capitulation was the result of some nebulous betrayal. The fact is, the German army was doomed when they lost ON THE BATTLEFIELD at the Marne in September 1914...just like Bernie was doomed on Super Tuesday. WWI dragged on for 4 more years, but the outcome had long since been ordained. Who knows how long our opponent intends to drag this out, but he won't be the nominee, and it's not the result of some conspiracy or betrayal; it's simply because he lost.
