I had been laid off my job in 2010. I was already 71 years old and wanted to retire, but was trying to get more money into my 401K. But I was forced into retirement. So for 6 years I had been collecting social security along with my salary and had extra money to spend on whatever I wanted. Now that salary is gone and my only source of income is my social security. I am now learning how to be very frugal and watch every penny.
