13. That's exactly what I do with Carys

I'll hold out my hand and she will sniff it. Sometimes she lets me scratch her nose. I just don't push it. When she's out in the open and I walk past her, I always softly talk to her and slow blink. Sometimes she returns the blink.

On rare occasions she's jumped up on the bed, in the middle of the night, and head butted me awake. I give her as much time and affection as she wants. Sometimes she curls up and goes to sleep but more often she wanders off to someplace else to sleep.
