I know the theory of "make the shot count," but it's better to have a follow-up shot and not need it than to need it and not have it. Wounded game running off to die slowly isn't exactly sporting.

I think the post I was responding to used the word "keep" to give the impression that hunters wouldn't be subject to any sort of confiscation of guns they already own. Nothing could be further from the truth. Trying to ban all repeaters would guarantee immediate pushback from even the Fuddiest of Fudds.
