I think calling Marines crayon eaters has been around long before the internet.

Most of the people I see bashing other branches are new / young. In the units I’ve been around there is a high level of competition.

And a lot of smack talking. It centers around your group. If you’re in 1/?? they talk smack about 2/??. Or the other companies in your battalion. In your company they talk about the other platoons or attachments. It kinda a way to make soldiers perform at a higher standard. But nobody hates anyone.

TEB/Duncanpup is always bashing me about my dad was in the 2/504. And I bash him about being in the 325 which used to be a glider unit.
