With Alex Trebek in the news, I got to thinking about TV game shows [View all]

And all the ones I used to love watching when I was a kid in the mid-60s.

Of course, Jeopardy! was on TV at noon then. (Hosted by Art Fleming).

I remember that when I stayed home from school if I was sick (a rare occasion), my mother would not let me out of bed.... "If you're too sick to go to school, you're not well enough to be up and around." So she would bring in our little 12 inch portable black and white TV with the cracked screen and set it up next to my bed (usually along with the humidifier that eventually caused water to drip from the ceiling) and I had a blast watching the TV game shows all day long! Some of the ones I remember .... Concentration.....Truth or Consequences ..... Password ..... Jeopardy, of course .....Hollywood Squares .... Let's Make A Deal .....Supermarket Sweep .... Eye Guess ..... Seven Keys ..... PDQ ..... You Don't Say ..... The Match Game ..... The Newlywed Game ..... Just off the top of my head.

Funny, though, I can't seem to get into the recent game shows that are shown on prime time TV.

Does anyone else have any memory of these shows?
