as to whether they addressed the capability of the ECI-MS methodology in determining non-metallic components of alloys. Specifically, non-conductive components such as some polymers. Does the MEC technique have the ability to liberate these components from the alloy? (Hopefully that’s not a stupid question!)

In any case, sounds like a very clever and promising technique.
