The entire DOGE staff needs to be arrested and charged

with sensitive data theft. threatening a government employee, and treason.

Rachel Maddow's coverage on Berulis the whistleblower is stunning in DOGE's contempt for the US government and citizens.

Trump let this happen.

Foreign buyers weren't buying US short term debt.

Foreign buyers weren't interested in US debt. I'm surprised they would buy at all without an increase in rate of return. Even then, not investing in the US would send a strong message to Dear Leader that he's fucking up.

Scientist who saved F47's life in 2020 (COVID) was fired

by Musk et al today.

I guess Musk was punishing the good doctor. Who is going to tell F47?

(Rachel Maddow is great tonight. No surprise there.)

Did I hear correctly that Professor Timothy Snyder has

moved to Canada along with other former Yale professors?

I've been seeing more Cold War fictional programming

on online streaming, I think. Or maybe it's just an algorithm directing more cold war-type choices to my screen. It's amazing what's out there.

On Prime Video, I've been watching three seasons of The Sandbaggers, a British spy tv show concurrent with time it was filmed, 1978-1981. The series revolves around a very small special unit of agents who travel internationally to protect assets, prevent defections, stop double agents, etc.

The first season was fairly unremarkable fiction stories, a little dull or even stupid. The second season explored concepts related to agency mandates of MI5, CIA, and FBI, and how conspiracy theories abound about agencies and assassinations at home or abroad, and the moral implications for decision- and policy-makers.

The third season has been about totalitarianism within communist USSR. Stories have been about encouraging dissidents and promoting human rights and freedom, such as in our Bill of Rights and Constitution. I can't help but feel this programming applies to current political circumstances.

Overall I've enjoyed the series, despite the ugly sexism, etc from 45 years ago. I'm largely homebound due to family circumstances, so I watch alot of stuff streaming.

It isn't enough that the Orange Menace wants to

destroy my Social Security income. He's trying to destroy half of my retirement accounts as well.

I can't wait to piss on his grave.

Is that really Melania or a body double?

Her face looks different, like the measurements around her eyes and cheekbones. Maybe she's getting ready to go into hiding.

This is what dicktators do: drone on ad nauseum.

Fidel Castro addressed the U.N. for almost 4½ hours.

Indian politician VK Krishna Menon talked for nearly eight hours at thd UN Security Council.

Mustafa Kemal Ataturk, the founder of modern Turkey, spoke for 36 hours and 31 minutes over six days.

For 96 long minutes, Colonel Gaddafi spoke to UN delegates about Somali pirates, the death of JFK, jet lag and his conspiracy theories about swine flu.

In 2013 Vladimir Putin sat for his nearly annual televised live-call-in show which went on for nearly five hours.

I wonder if trump can walk down the center aisle

without tumbling. I'm guessing he'll walk very slowly, stopping slot, trying to hide his abnormal gait.

I'm tired of hearing politicians talk about cutting

spending. I'd rather see them talk about letting tax cuts expire and raising taxes on millionaires and billionaires.
