A Third Woman Died Under Texas Abortion Ban. Doctors Are Avoiding D&Cs and Reaching for Riskier Miscarriage Treatments.
Thirty-five-year-old Porsha Ngumezis case raises questions about how abortion bans are pressuring doctors to avoid standard care even in straightforward miscarriages.

After Pam Bondi made her threats against Department of Justice employees via Fox goptv
I think president Biden should be working on a list of government, press & social media individuals who have worked to uphold laws or spread the truth about the tRump crime family and prepare a blanket pardon for all possible targets of fascist retribution.
An obit
All three branches of government have officially gone fascist so I thought a short obituary was appropriate: After suffering from a long illness democracy has passed away today, it is survived by pipedreams and wishful thinking.
Instead of flowers please consider sending donations for a one way ticket to Canada.
Lots of autopsies being performed on democracies corpse right now but I think they will all agree on the cause of death
being suicide.
Members of the Democratic party are feeding on each other, its a stage of grief
don't lose focus on who is to blame, citizens united, red state voter suppression, russia, china, saudi arabia, billionaires, tRump loving corporate press, a weak as fuck JD, ect, ect, ect
The space nazi is paying $47 per signature to sign a petition that supports the first and second amendments.
Per Guardian live feed by Rachel Leingang:
I spoke to a man gathering signatures for America PAC, Elon Musks outfit thats offering people $47 per person they get to sign a petition that supports the first and second amendments.
Those signers then can win a $1m prize.
The man, who said his name is Ryan Johnson, said hes been gathering signatures for various candidates and causes across the country for eight years, one of many traveling circulators who pop from state to state depending on whos paying.
He said the America PAC petition is the highest paying petition ever, with a typical rate for signatures for a ballot measure or candidates being a few dollars per signature.
Pennsylvania judge declines to block special boy Elon Musk's $1m voter prize giveaway
The $1m-a-day voter sweepstakes that Elon Musks political action committee is hosting in swing states can continue through Tuesdays presidential election, a Pennsylvania judge ruled on Monday.
Because he's a special boy the common pleas court judge Angelo Foglietta ruling after Musks lawyers said the winners are not chosen by chance did not immediately give a reason for the ruling.
The Philadelphia district attorney, Larry Krasner, had called the sweepstakes a scam that violated state election law and asked that it be shut down.
Earlier, an attorney for the billionaire told the court that Musks pro-Trump group did not choose the winners of its $1m-a-day giveaway to registered voters at random, but instead picked people who would be good spokespeople for its agenda.

(I added the special boy because all special boys are above the law it would seem.)
"anticipatory obedience" "giving over your power to the aspiring authoritarian" before the authoritarian is in power
The multi-billionaire owner of the Washington Post, Jeff Bezos, continued facing criticism throughout the weekend because executives from his aerospace company met with Donald Trump on the same day the newspaper prevented its editorial team from publishing an endorsement of his opponent in the US presidential election.
Senior news and opinion leaders at the Washington Post flew to Miami in late September 2024 to meet with Bezos, who had reservations about the paper issuing an endorsement in the 5 November election, the New York Times reported.
Amazon and the space exploration company Blue Origin are among Bezos-owned businesses that still compete for lucrative federal government contracts.
Many pointed out how the stances from the Post and the LA Times seems to fit the definition of anticipatory obedience as spelled out in On Tyranny, Tim Snyders bestselling guide to authoritarianism. Snyder defines the term as giving over your power to the aspiring authoritarian before the authoritarian is in position to compel that handover.

North Korean troops have arrived in Russia to fight Ukraine, says Seoul
Source: Guardian
South Koreas intelligence agency said on Friday that North Korea has dispatched troops to assist Russia in its war against Ukraine, a development that could intensify the standoff between North Korea and the west.
In a statement on its website, the National Intelligence Service (NIS) said that Russian navy ships transferred 1,500 North Korean special operation forces to the port city of Vladivostok between 8 and 13 October and were now undergoing training.
The North Korean soldiers
are expected to be deployed to the frontlines as soon as they complete their adaptation training, the agency said, adding that more North Korean troops are expected to be sent to Russia soon.
NIS said North Korean soldiers were given Russian military uniforms and Russian-made weapons and were issued with fake ID cards of residents of the Yakutia and Buryatia, two regions in Siberia.
