Arrests and felony charges over anti-Semitic "wanted" posters.
Today, we began the arrests of four individuals on felony charges for their alleged involvement in distributing the antisemitic “Wanted” posters around River Campus, and an additional fifth person continues to be investigated. While I regret that this deeply disturbing incident took place on our campus, I am incredibly satisfied that through a thorough investigation we were able to identify those who are allegedly responsible and hold them accountable for the deliberate and deplorable actions targeted toward members of our University community, including members of our Jewish population.
The four individuals charged with felony criminal mischief are University students. I’d like to immediately address here why the actions taken against the students are criminal and not solely disciplinary. Consistent with the requirements of New York state’s statutes (NYS Education Law, Article 129-A, Section 6430, and New York State Education Law; Section 6434), the University is committed to properly addressing and reporting any action or situation which recklessly or intentionally endangers mental or physical health of members of our University community, as well as coordinating the investigation of such crimes with local law enforcement agencies. While it’s sad when individuals engage in criminal conduct that is intimidating to others in classrooms and other facilities that they need to use while seeking an education or going to work, enforcement of the law is done for the protection of the community and in compliance with legal obligations of the institution.

Berlin police chief warns Jews and LGBTQ+ to exercise caution in certain areas
Berlin Police Chief Barbara Slowik has issued a warning to Jews and LGBTQ+ individuals to exercise caution in certain areas of the German capital amid rising antisemitism and hate crimes. Speaking to the press, Slowik emphasized the need for vigilance in the wake of recent events, particularly following the attack by the Palestinian terrorist group Hamas on Israel on October 7, 2023.
"There are no so-called no-go areas, meaning areas that are too dangerous to enter," Slowik stated, as reported by Die Zeit. "However, there are areas, and we must be honest at this stage, where I would advise people who wear a kippah or are openly homosexual or lesbians to be more attentive," she added, emphasizing the importance of caution in public spaces.
Highlighting the tensions in certain neighborhoods, Slowik explained, "Unfortunately, there are certain neighborhoods where predominantly Arab-descended people live, who also have sympathies for terrorist groups," and where "open anti-Semitism is articulated there against people of Jewish faith and origin," according to Der Standard - Archäologie. She stressed that her intention was not to stigmatize any community, stating, "I do not want to 'defame' any particular group of people as perpetrators," as reported by Süddeutsche Zeitung.

I’ve seen it happen with celebrities and athletes and even people that I know in real life.
Everything starts out pretty simply. Sure we would all like to go back to eating more of a natural diet with less additives but before you know it, we go from maybe only having McDonald’s once or twice a year to suddenly being bombarded with 911 didn’t happen and if it did, it was the fault of the Jews. Or Covid isn’t real. And if it is real it’s a deep state plot to control us.
How the hell does wanting to eat better and exercise more drag so many people into the whackadoodle dark corners of the CT world?

Samidoun, group behind 'death to Canada' chant, listed as terrorist entity
Canada has listed Samidoun, a pro-Palestinian group behind a rally where people chanted “death to Canada” and burned the Canadian flag in Vancouver earlier this month, as a terrorist entity.
Public Safety Minister Dominic LeBlanc made the announcement on Tuesday and noted that the listing was made alongside the U.S. Treasury Department’s own decision to list the group as a specially designated global terrorist entity.
“Violent extremism, acts of terrorism or terrorist financing have no place in Canadian society or abroad,” LeBlanc said in a statement.

Shots fired at Toronto Jewish girls school overnight: police

Around 4 a.m. Saturday, Toronto police received a report of a smashed window at the Bais Chaya Mushka Girls Elementary School, Insp. Paul Krawczyk told reporters Saturday afternoon. Upon further investigation, police determined the window, along with other parts of the building, had been struck by gunfire.
No one was at the school at the time of the shooting, Krawczyk said, and there were no reports of any injuries. He also said police had not heard any reports of gunshots being heard in the area.
Police are not releasing any details about suspects at this time, Krawczyk said.
Krawczyk said the hate crime unit is involved in the investigation, adding that it is particularly concerning that the incident happened on the Jewish holiday Yom Kippur, one of the most sacred days in the Jewish calendar
