Picaro
Picaro's JournalJust turned on to MSNBC
They're running Trump's rally in Butler, PA with 0 commentary in place of Jonathon Capehart's show.
This is why this race is so close. Even MSNBC is becoming Fox.
This isn't normal.
The moderators did a good job tonight
Thought the amount of fact checking was appropriate.
My only criticism is that they let him back in to vent too many times.
However, this was a tough job. I think both acquitted themselves well.
Thank you bothLynsey Davis and David Muir.
Another chestnut from my dear departed father
My father had a well defined measurement about people.
You could be a "jackass". This was level one. That person was a jerk, but could be easily excused and tolerated. You might willingly have a drink with the guy (this is guys only--you don't call women asses) and it might be an okay night.
Level two: he called the person an "ass". This is a person that might have a redeeming quality, but you'd have to look for it pretty hard. Having a drink with this person was absolutely out of the question. It wouldn't go well.
Then Level 3--a "horse's ass". This was the ultimate. This was someone without redeeming qualities. If you can avoid this person then you should. You are absolutely entitled to treat this person with disdain and then get away from this person as soon as possible.
Trump is, of course, a horses ass.
This debate pushed me into Afib
Been having some issues with my heart (Afib) and I knew that this would have an emotional impact.
But I watched it anyway and I'm very glad. The medication has begun to take effect and I'm back into sinus rhythm.
Trump really bombed tonight. I usually watch these with the sound off and, if I had, I would have come to the same conclusion.
Trump is the most vile creature imaginable.
Getting "Video Not Available" when trying watch video content
Posted about this earlier. I'm getting "Video Not Available" when I select any video.
This issue went away for a couple of hours today and now it is back.
Anyone have any idea what might be happening?
This started after the site came back up from the upgrade, but I have no idea if that's the key detail in terms of causation or if this is coincidental.
Any help or insight will be appreciated.

Throwing stones and glass houses
The reactionary right wing seems to have a truth problem. Not just in terms of the lies they all spew every moment they are conscious, but they seem to have forgotten that truths are stubborn things. They refuse to become untrue.
A few basic truths. Gravity always wins. Kindness is its own reward. Dont try and catch a falling knife
But my favorite is that those who live in glass houses shouldnt throw stones.
The rightists are doing some serious stone throwing. Trump is daily proving his mind is gone. And they think its a good tactic to claim Bidens mind is gone?
Yall just go right on. See how well that works for you.
The Special Counsel's report was a cheap shot
Hur is apparently a grossly partisan hack that couldn't keep his frustration at not being able to charge President Biden from boiling over. So, he went with the current right wing desire to paint Biden as a doddering old man whose failing memory makes him unfit for office.
That's all they've got now because the Republicans can't govern their way out of a paper bag.
A couple of things. The first is that this too shall pass. It'll blow over. Biden is not a feeble, doddering old man.
The second is that we all have issues with remembering exact dates.
I have to look it up every time I want to recall when my sister died. Have two sisters and only one died, but I can't ever remember the year or the month. I know that my mother died the very next year, but the month and the day? So, I have to look up first my eldest sister's obituary and then look up my mother's date of passing.
In reality, my mother passed just a few months after my sister. But those details elude me.
My father's death? Well, that one I can always remember. Because I was there when he passed. It was also just 4 days after my birthday. But something about having been there locked it into my brain and made it easy to recall.
This was the cheapest of cheap shots. I would like to see Biden's staff point out that this kind of naked partisanship is characteristic of the sort of people that Trump gravitated towards. We see it with Judge Cannon and we see it with Hur.
Trump didn't hire the best. Hur underscores that.
