An actual press secretary

Jen Psaki is taking a few minutes at the end of her show to answer actual questions asked during today’s press conference. Unlike Chucky Cathy, she is calm, respectful and honest.
I particularly liked her answer to “Why was the librarian of Congress fired?” She just put up a picture.
This was a great bit. She should continue it.

Borowitz: Trump offers to sell new pope $60 Bible. Be sure to read the last line.

WASHINGTON (The Borowitz Report)—In a gesture intended to welcome the new pontiff, on Thursday Donald J. Trump offered to sell Pope Leo XIV a $60 Bible.

“You want to grab this deal while you can,” Trump wrote in a post on Truth Social. “It’s gonna cost a lot more after EU tariffs.”

Calling the Trump Bible “a very special Bible,” he added, “I know you have a lot of Bibles already at the Vatican, but none of them have parts written by Lee Greenwood.”

Meanwhile, in his first official act as pope, Leo ordered a photo of JD Vance posted at the Vatican security desk.

Speaking of St Upid...Drumph wants to reopen Alcatraz!

Not only would this cost a fortune, but there were good reasons why it was closed in the first place. For one thing, all fresh water had to be shipped in.

Still, I suppose if they use some gold spray paint on Al Capone’s old cell and tell Fatass there’s an omelette bar, he could be persuaded to do a residency there.

Last ferry is leaving, Donnie! Enjoy your stay!

A week or so ago I wrote a post comparing KKKarlolyin' Leavitt to Chatty Cathy. I have revised

my opinion of her. While the basic premise of pull the string and she lies is still correct, I am beginning to think that the doll she most resembles is Chucky. With a lot of plastic surgery-which she’s had.

Not being a fan of horror movies, I have never seen a Chucky film, but a brief glance at Wikipedia reveals that a serial killer uses evil magic to transfer his soul into an inanimate doll and continues his killing.

Little lying Karoline is indeed out to kill. Among her targets: Truth.

And Justice. And the American Way.

Public Service Announcement: It's safe to turn on Nicole.

Fatass is off the air.

Let the fact checking begin!

When I was little, I had a Chatty Cathy doll. She was made of plastic, had artificial blonde hair and rosy cheeks

painted on her face. Momma made her some pretty dresses from a Simplicity pattern and fabric from the remnant drawer.
When you pulled the string in her back, she said things. The only phrase I remember is “I love you”.
She had a squeaky, little girl voice.
She was not my favorite doll. She wasn’t cuddly and Barbie could have more adventures.

I haven’t thought about her for years. Until I saw Karoline Leavitt spewing falsehoods and invective at the WH Press Corps. Many, including myself, have called her Baghdad Barbie, and the parallels between Saddam Hussein’s minister of propaganda and Fatass45’s minister of propaganda are many.

But I think Ms. Leavitt is more like Chatty Cathy. Blonde hair that’s artificial (hey gurl, get them roots touched up!), rosy cheeks that are painted on. But when the string in her back is pulled, what comes out of her face is just lies.

Lyin’ Karoline. Not as good as Baghdad Barbie but possibly more accurate.

Need advice on Medicare drug plans.

I recently got on Medicare. I switched my Blue Shield individual plan to Medicare supplement for doctors and hospital. However, their Medicare drug plan was rather expensive and the Blue Shield lady suggested I go to Medicare.gov to investigate other options.
I am only on a statin and a blood pressure medication, paying about $20.00/month for the meds.
Wellcare seems cheapest, but has bad reviews.

Anyone have any recommendations?

P.S. on the topic of the day, I wish Zelensky had punched Trump and JD in the balls. He probably decided that if he tried, he would have to go to Moscow to find them, so he just left.

Can someone tell me who is the current US ambassador to the UN ?

I know Elise Stephanik is being kept in the House so Tiny Mikey can perpetrate his vile budget bill. But I don’t know (and the Google is offering no help) whose butt is occupying the chair representing my country and voting with Russia.
