Wanderlust988's JournalTrump is trolling us....don't take the bait!
This Panama Canal stuff is designed to get the left in an uproar and distract from his problems and sagging approval ratings. He says crazy shit so we can be outraged. Trump is not going to do anything! We did this a lot the past few years. I'm used to get outraged all the time, but I'm not anymore. That dog won't hunt anymore.
Why doesn't a left-wing billionaire buy Tik-Tok?
There's plenty of them around. Make China/ByteDance an offer they can't refuse. Then we start our own misinformation campaigns in 2028. This is really a solution to reaching young people next time around.
Pres. Biden did have historically low approval ratings
This is not an opinion. There's no sense putting our heads in the sand about it. It's been low ever since the Afghanistan withdrawal. It didn't matter the polls. He was polling as low as any president ever. This is just a fact. I love Biden, but most of the population did not. Presidents don't win re-election with his approvals.
The problem is that we thought Trump would be in jail by now, so that's why Biden felt okay to keep running with low approvals. Merrick Garland was too scared to charge Trump 3 years ago, so Trump was able to delay, delay.
Honestly, Biden shouldn't have ever run for re-election in the first place. We could've had a normal primary. Even if Harris won it, the country would've known her better and she would've been an even greater campaigner. Or we could've nominated someone like Shapiro or Beshear that is not a part of the Biden administration and would've had a clean slate. I truly believe if they were the nominee, Trump would've lost.
That being said, I think Biden should've resigned the presidency in August and let Harris takeover so the public could've gotten use to seeing a black woman president. That would've helped tremendously. It would've been a ballsy move, but I think it would've worked.
Harris campaign chair, Jen O'Malley Dillon, seemed very upbeat on MSNBC today
You could tell that the campaign has information that makes them feel like they're going to win! This is opposed to about a month ago when Dillon was not near as upbeat and about caused panic among some of us.
Larry Sabato's Center for Politics forecasts a Harris victory!!
This current citizen forecast points to a Harris victory in November. How confident can we be in this forecast? Fortunately, we have solid baseline data on the accuracy of voter expectations from past US presidential elections. In the American National Elections Survey (ANES), they have regularly posed the question, who do you think will win the coming election? These responses have been shown to reliably forecast the winner. For example, one of us (Michael Lewis-Beck) and Charles Tien demonstrated that the majority of voters (on average 71%) surveyed accurately forecast the winner, and in the aggregate called 9 of 11 elections (1956-1996). (Moreover, the median ANES interview date was Oct. 7, quite close to our dates for Wave 4). In our other recent work, from 2000-2020, voters still seem able to do a good job forecasting U.S. presidential elections, with voters correctly forecasting the winner 66% of the time.

If you came from Mars and watched TV, you'd think Harris was 30 pts behind
Rinse and repeat. This is so reminiscent of 2022. A month before November, we get a flood of polls from right wing outfits that show Republicans winning. The poll aggregators include them to show a tightened race. On cue, the media is talking about Dems are not doing with any group. Harris is not doing well with people who wear Nike shoes. Harris is not doing well with people with curly hair. Her campaign is in trouble...etc., etc.
This same shit happened in 2022 causing them to talk about the incoming red wave incessantly. I feel like the same thing is happening now.
If Harris is in trouble with every conceivable group, why is she even tied or ahead? They never talk about the groups she does well with, only the negative. The media really sucks.
I got a GREAT question for Harris to ask Trump
"If everything was so great when you were president, why the fuck did you lose re-election?"
Well she shouldn't use curse words, but you know what I mean. Also, it would goad Trump into the 2020 election conspiracies and then he'll have a total meltdown going down the conspiracy rabbit hole.
I think someone on here needs to get this to the campaign.
Where should Kinzinger go in the Harris administration?
Dude needs a job. He seems like a decent guy overall, even if he's conservative. I'm thinking somewhere in the foreign policy realm like NSC or something. Or perhaps an high profile ambassadorship.
Chuck Todd just said that the Harris campaign will make a play for Florida
Something unimaginable a few weeks ago. But they have the money to do it. I didn't realize Biden only lost FL by 3%. Crazy to think about it.
For some reason, I think Ohio might be more gettable than Florida. What do you all think?
The real reason Trump is struggling to find a message to hit Harris
It's because our VP is a beautiful woman. Trump doesn't give a shit about policy. He LOVES personal attacks. He and his MAGATS get a kick out of making fun of people. Everyone Trump has opposed he had made fun of them...how they look, walk, etc., etc. He regularly made fun of Pres. Biden's stutters, the way he walks, even his weight. That's what he loves the most. That's what drives him.
With Harris, he can't find anything about her to make fun of. She is a beautiful woman and she's not fat, and he can't stand it. He can't find a way to mock her and make fun of her. That's why he's imploding. His rallies are no fun talking about policy.
